Brandie Norris

Dance Instructor and Choreographer

Brandie is a dance performer, singer and songwriter as well as teaching artist. Training as a gymnast and cheerleader in her youth, she grew to be a passionate dancer and teacher who works with youth and adults at Dance Mission and TruDance, and through private lessons. She has danced in various music videos and has performed with many choreographers, including the Sarah Bush Dance Project.

Agnes “Aggie” Librodo

Dance and Storytelling Instructor

Aggie is a dance and storytelling teaching artist who brings her fun-loving energy to workshops as she continues to help the youth in her community experience art. She is constantly working on choreography and building her dance skills, while also teaching her own routines and hosting freestyle sessions. Aggie has also participated in competitive hip hop dance teams, having performed in competitions such as World of Dance Bay Area. As a writer and storyteller, she has taught a creative writing course and served as a Creative Writing Teaching Associate at San Francisco State University, and is currently working on her second novel. Aggie holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Saint Mary’s College of California, and has received her Master of Arts in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, where she is also pursuing her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and has been awarded the Joe Brainard Creative Writing Fellowship.

Mario Ponce

Dance Instructor and Choreographer

Mario has been a hip-hop dance instructor for over 20 years and has worked with many dance studios and different unified school districts around the Bay Area. He has worked with several different studios, and has an expertise of productions and performances from his roles as an audio/video technician and production manager. Mario has over 15 years of preparing dance showcases and has directed many award-winning dance companies, with just a few of his accolades coming from America’s Got Talent, Hip-Hop International, and World of Dance. He now brings his award-winning choreography to the students, as he teaches many hip hop dance programs.

Angelina Labate

Dance Instructor and Choreographer

Angelina is a choreographer, dancer, documentarian, teaching artist and the Founding Director of Snowflake Productions which “celebrates dance communities and their stories through choreography, videography and photography.” She holds an African Heritage Dance Certificate from City College of San Francisco and a B.A. in World Arts and Cultures/Dance with a Minor in Visual and Performing Arts Education from UCLA. She has traveled to many places in the U.S. and abroad to dance with, document, observe and learn from some of the most inspiring artists in the street and club dance scenes.
