Lauren Spencer

Lauren Spencer, Acting and Vocal Instructor

Lauren is an actor, singer, and teacher based in San Francisco. Most recently, she performed in "The Last Five Years" with Poor Man's Players, in Boxcar Theatre's production of "Little Shop of Horrors", and in African American Shakespeare's production of Twelfth Night. Lauren performed the leading role in the West Coast Premiere of Christina Anderson's "Good Goods" directed Crowded Fire's Artistic Director, Marissa Wolf. She has also worked with Magic Theatre, Crowded Fire, Woman's Will, the Playwrights Foundation, and No Nude Men.

In addition to working with Handful Players, she teaches children's theater with the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, where she is directing a production of "Macbeth" in their Midnight Shakespeare program. Lauren graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in English Literature and performed in several Vassar theater productions.
